Ulster's David Humphreys had an unusually indifferent night with the boot, he missed an early penalty effort on eight minutes before Munste rout-half Paul Burke got the socring underway with a 12 minute penalty. Humphreys was unable to convert Bowe's try in the corner which had come from his kick four minutes later.
Munster lost Barry Murphy to a nasty looking ankle injury mid-way through the first half and the centre was replaced by Gary Connolly while Ulster scrum-half Isaac Boss was also replaced during the first half after picking up a knock on his leg.
Ulster No. 8 Wilson powered over the line just before half-time, Humphreys was unable to convert the kick from the corner but the home side entered the break 10 - 3 up.
Ulster applied plenty of pressur ein the second half, centre Paul Steinemetz scoring under the posts just after play had resumed. Humphreys converted, his only successful opportunity of the match.
With Ulster 15 - 3 ahead and spurred on by the capacity crowd, Ravenhill favourite and Bank of Ireland Man of the Match Justin Harrison's 64th minute touchdown bagged the winning, four try bonus point while replacement Neil McMillan's try, two minutes from time was the icing on the cake.
