In the 31st minute Ulster were penalised and Duncan Hodge wasted no time in getting the points on board by slotting the ball between the posts. Edinburgh were quickly penalised moments later and Paddy Wallace took the points, the half time score stood at 13-3.
Just 5 minutes into the second half Ulster's Stephen Ferris showed the crowd and Edinburgh what he was made of when he made took the ball and broke through the Edinburgh defence, he stopped short of line but it was a fine example of why he was named the Bank of Ireland and Belfast Telegraph Man of the Match.
In the 60th minute Scott Murray powered over the line to score the first try for Edinburgh, Hodge converted and Ulster look threatened once more. In the final moments of the game Ulster were awarded a penalty which Paddy Wallace slotted through the posts and the final score was 16-10.
